Frequently asked questions
What does “private studio” mean?
Being a private tattoo studio means that we are not open to the public and do not have set open hours. A private studio offers a more personalized and intimate tattoo experience, focusing on quality and artistry, with artists dedicating their full attention to each client.
What are your hours of operation and do you accept walk-ins?
At this time we operate by appointment only and do not accept walk-ins. Please contact the artist you’re interested in working with directly to set up a free consultation appointment.
How old do i need to be to get tattooed?
At least 18 years old. Even though it’s legal to get a tattoo with parental consent at 16 or 17, our artists reserve the right to refuse service to anyone under the age of 18.
Do you offer piercings?
Unfortunately, not at this time.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash is king and credit/debit cards are accepted. Some artists also use Paypal/ Cashapp/ Venmo. Please confirm payment methods prior to your appointment.
how do i book an appointment and is a deposit required?
The first step is to view and determine which artist portfolio best matches the style you’re looking for. All artists prefer initial contact to be through text message. This is the best method for the artists to keep track and ensure timely responses. You can find each artist work number on the home page. In the first message please include your first and last name, what style you’re looking for, and send any inspiration pictures you may have. Intricate or larger projects may require an in person consultation prior to scheduling.
A non refundable deposit is required to schedule. Please see the Deposit Policy for more information.
What if i need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
We ask for at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule to allow the artist to fill the appointment time. We do understand that things happen outside of our control. Failing to provide notice or not showing up to your appointment will result in the loss of deposit. Please see the Cancellation Policy for more information.
can i use numbing cream?
Its recommended to discuss this topic with your artist, as each artist has their own preference. Numbing cream can change the texture of the skin, allergic reactions can happen, and it can effect the healing process of the tattoo. Please do not show up to your appointment with numbing cream on without discussing it with your artist.
How should i prepare for my appointment and what should i bring?
Arrive clean, well fed, and hydrated. Wear comfortable clothing that allows your artist to easily access the area to be tattooed.
Bring valid photo ID to complete the required Tattoo Consent Form.
We ask that clients bring no more than 1 extra guest with them for support, due to limited space. All guests must be 16 years or older to be permitted in the studio.
Bring something to keep you’re self entertained, such as phone, iPad, book, headphones, etc.
what should i expect for aftercare?
You’re artist will cover you with a bandage to go home and will advise when it should be removed. Once the bandage is removed, wash the tattoo with unscented soap, pat dry with a clean paper towel, and apply tattoo aftercare cream or Aquaphor 5x a day for 5 days before switching to unscented lotion. Never pick, peel, or scratch the new tattoo. Avoid soaking, swimming, and excessive exercise until fully healed (3-4 weeks). Avoid direct sunlight while healing and apply sun screen once fully healed (3-4 weeks).
Can i go to the bar after my appointment?
This is actually asked quite often. You may certainly go to the bar after your tattoo, just not before. Do not drink any alcohol 24 hours before your tattoo appointment.
